The Lonling Historic Trail refers to the leg that begins from Neilongling in Fulong and goes by Caoling before reaching Shihcheng from the north of the mountain. It is said that fortress of stones was available by the sea at the exit in Shihcheng, and local people would use the fortresses to keep outsiders from reaching the shore. The Lonling Historic Trail is the first of its kind of all legs of the Tamlan Historic Trail . Historians suggest that WUSHA must have taken the very route when he first arrived Lanyang in an expedition. The Lonling Historic Trail was open in the 12th year of Jiaqing (1807) and Lonling Sunset Smokes is known as one of the 8 primary attractions in Ilan.
The Historic Trail is rich in historical objects. In the forest trails, we see lands, Banyan trees, abandoned stone houses, stone walls, stone stairs, stone coffins and 7-star piles, which would be used by the Kaidagelan Tribe for rituals. The stone piles may have been built by hands in the form of a Pyramid and with stone stairs on the inside. Standing on top of 2 valleys, the site has an open view (with the sea off Fulong in sight), a wonderful hill for ritual ceremonies. The Historic Trail is full of beings, such as 5-colored birds, ??????????????and botanical species available in wet lands such as???. Dozens of Banyan trees are around in mountain creeks. One of the Banyan trees has the trunk with clinging roots down to the ground, making the tree seem like a mighty forest.
