【 Type of attraction open for tourism 】

• Length of trail: The entire Daba/Shengling Sector between the Madalaxi entrance and the Snow Mountain (including Daba) extends some 28km.
• Time required for the trip: The entire Daba leg may take average people 3-4 days and the Shengling Sector (Y type) might take 7-8 days.
• Difficulty: The Daba leg is of medium difficulty to average people and the entire Shengling trip would be of high difficulty.

• Environmental limit: Ecological Reserve in the Shueba National Park.
• Intensity of development/Type of facility: As the Daba/Shengling leg is not apt for explorations and number of tourists shall be kept under strict control, this is a type 3 trail in the specifications of national trail systems.

Of the Shengling Line, the mountains ranked among the top hundred mountains in Taiwan are Snow Mountain, North Peak of the Snow Mountain, Dabajian Mountain, Xiaobajian Mountain, Cali Mountain and Ize Mountain. On the south and north tip of the Shengling Line, there is a renowned mountain each (being the snow Mountain in the north as the second highest mountain in Taiwan and the Dabajian Mountain in the south, which is also known as Magic Peak of the Century); all are renowned ridges in Taiwan. The leg between the snow Mountain and Dabajian Mountain is of major drops in elevation and rugged terrain. The special terrain in the area are the Dabajian Mountain of suspended rocks, the Mutelebu Mountain of cutting rocks, the No. 2 valley in the north of the north ridge of the Snow Mountain (Ice Funnel) and the Sumida Cliff. The No. 2 valley in the Snow Mountain is the highest one of its kind in Taiwan.
