The trail in the Yuanzui-Shaolai-Minor Snow Mountain sector is located in the Major Snow Mountain Forest Amusement Park, which is known as Anmashan Forest Amusement Park and is an institutional area of the Dongshih Forest Administration. At 2,200m above sea level, the sector used to be a major timber field in central Taiwan. The booming trend of mountain climbing in the 70s and 80s and the location of the entrance to the Major Snow Mountain Forest Amusement Park on the No. 200 forest trail, more and more mountaineers decide to take the route of Yuanzui-Shaolai, making the leg a popular one. Most of the visitors come here on weekends and their destination is the Major Snow Mountain Forest Amusement Park.

Enriched in forest plantation of tropical, warm and artic, the sector is full of junipers, chamaccypairs obutosa and hemlock spruce among other species, making the sector a major producer of virgin forests in Taiwan. The Ecological Investigation on Forest Birds in Central Taiwan, published by the Bureau of Forest Affairs, there are 67 species of birds in the sector, including yellow-chest??, gold-winged??, white-eared thrush, red-head tit and wrens among others. Also available are blue-belly vultures, white-head?, woodpecker, russet sparrow among other endangered species, making the sector a world-renowned bird-watching site in Taiwan. In additional to birds, the sector is known for goats, muntajacs, boars, flying squirrels, pangolins, lynxes and Taiwanese monkeys. Further, landscapes are many and they cover forest bath, sunrise watching, sea cloud, constellation watching, photographing and bird watching among others.

The maple leaves in autumn and winter in Shaolai, the tall tress on hills, the Taiwanese azalea in spring, the unique rock terrain, the pond in the south part of the Minor snow Mountain and the Ruishue Pagoda by the pond, available for sea cloud watching, is a snow fight ground in winter.
