• Features of the trail: Hunting trails and warfare tracks of the Zou Tribe in the Ali Mountains.
• Trail routes: The Shuishan Historic Trail , Tashan-Laiji-Tefuyeh Historic Trail , the Zou Tribe Historic Trail and a few perimeter roads by the Ali Mountain Forest Railway as well as the trail between Lijia and Danai Valley.

【 Type of attraction open for tourism 】

• Length of trail: Total length of approximate 56km.
• Time required for the trip: It takes a few hours to 1 day to complete most one-way trip of all trails and the entire trail may take 3-4 days. Affected by the September 21st earthquake, the sector between Ali Mountain and Xitou sees collapses and that makes time required for the trip unknown.
• Difficulty: Except for the Xiah Sector that is of high difficulty, all other routes are of low to medium difficulty to average people.

• Environmental limit:Not sensitive to ecological environment.
• Intensity of development/Type of facility: To meet the needs of visitors, relevant facilities may be provided, though the trail shall be kept as this is, without much human hands, as this is .only local repairs shall be provided to the trail at this time. When necessary, number of tourists shall be kept under control, as this is a type 1 trail in the specifications of national trail systems. Part of the trail shall be kept from major exploration and number of tourists shall be kept under strict control, this is a type 2 trail in the specifications of national trail systems.

Ali Mountain in Jiayi is home to the Zou Tribe. The Dabang Village that is formed by Dabang and Tefuyeh Villages sees most Zou Tribe population and traditional rituals, festivals and artifacts remain.

The Dabang Village is designated as the Zou Tribe Park in Ali Mountain and harvest festival, war festival and gathering for heritage and males of the tribe. In August every year, the village sees harvest festival, seed-plantation festival and weed-removing festival. On February 15, it is the harvest festival for both Dabang and Tefuyeh Villages that take turn. The festival is for good harvest.

Besides, living on hunting in old days, there are 2 ancient hunting trails in the Zou Tribe village. One is the Futeyeh Historic Trail that links Dabang and Futeyeh and is of 5km in length. The other one is Feteyeh Historic Trail and is of 5km in length, a round trip would take 80 minutes. Still another one is the Shuishan Historic Trail that links Feteyeh and Zizhong, of 15km in length. A one-way trip would take 4 and half hours. The trip takes one through skyscraping trees and inviting views.

Besides, the trip between Ali Mountain and Xitou used to be a renowned trekking route in Taiwan. The September 21st earthquake that triggered collapses has made the trail a difficult one.
